21st May 2016

10am to 4pm

Push the Boat Out is an initiative by the RYA and a great opportunity to find out all that is going on this year at South Staffs Sailing Club.  So whether you are wondering what sailing is all about or are an old hand do come down during the day to see how you can get involved.

Sailing is a fantastic sport for all the family. Come along and take the opportunity to sail with experienced sailors. You will be able to explore what South Staffordshire Sailing Club has to offer both on and off the water. Not only is sailing fun, enjoyable and exciting on the water but we have a packed array of social events throughout the year.

As well as the "rides round the pool" for those wanting to try sailing, there will be people on hand to guide you through the array of courses on offer.  Whether you want to find out more about RYA courses or gain more experience with Plus 1 or even Learn to Race, then there will be someone to talk to.  Age is no barrier with lots on offer for children as well as adults.  You can even sign up on the day.

Bring a friend or children bring your parents.

All welcome!

What do I need to try sailing?

All you need to bring is a soft pair of shoes, waterproofs and a change of clothing.

What can I expect on the day?

You will receive a warm and friendly welcome. We are a family orientated club run by our members. We hope to give you an insight into what sailing can offer you. You can ask questions, sign up for our courses and explore the benefits of our club membership as a whole.

We will take you out on the water (weather permitting) and give you an opportunity to experience sailing.
